Having studied the effects of Radon in regard to it being the major leading cause of lung cancer among non-smokers reflects a massive amount of evidence that it does present a hazard. Newer homes are for the most part designed and built to compliment less breathing room for homes and buildings that often increases the chance for elevated Radon. The current measurement protocols available today can be used in mines that were used decades ago and due to the fact of the time it takes for Uranium to decay into its various stages most importantly Polonium, readings taken today will for the most part be similar for hundreds of years. This evidence as well as the research conducted by many expert scientists clearly prove that Radon at elevated long term exposure levels are hazardous. Why not move your family into a home with elevated Radon levels and then make your case?
